Scott Schwaner – Captain – America
This year marks 36 years in Professional Yachting for Captain Scott. His extensive cruising experience includes Europe, Asia, USA and the Caribbean. He enjoys chartering, and has been very successful in creating successful campaigns to build a strong charter following. His ability to create a 5 star hospitality environment has resulted in an abundance of repeat bookings and a loyal following that has joined him from yacht to yacht. Thanks to his unique background and experience he is qualified and able to provide leadership and management in all onboard departments, creating a positive and highly professional atmosphere, while motivating and retaining his crew. |
Pavlo Hiripis – Chief Officer – Chile
Pavlo grew up in Zimbabwe and since a young age he has had a love of being on the water. It all stared at the age 10 when he was first introduced to the sailing world. He quickly grew a passion and love for the sport and over the next 8 years went on to represent his country at the All African Championships and All African games where he placed 15th in Africa in the single handed laser radial men’s open class. He held the number one laser sailor in his country for the last 3 consecutive years when he was racing. In 2011, after finishing school, he then went on to start his career in the yachting industry. He started off on a sail boat and later moved onto motor yachts. At present, he is currently working towards his Chief Mate 3000 Gt License. Pavlo is also a qualified dive master. |
Tim Kirkland – Bosun – American
Born in Southern California, Tim grew up surfing and sailing the west coast of the United States. His family comes from a long line of Norwegian cheese makers, and his earliest memories were herding cows on his family’s dairy farm near Fredrikstad, Norway. Tim graduated from university with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and in Finance. After 5 years in commercial construction, he left his career in engineering to return to the sea. On his days off you can find him practicing alpine mountaineering and is working to set a world record, summiting the tallest mountains in the world with his pet iguana Kiki. He also enjoys studying macroeconomic trends relating to currency, commodity, and derivative markets, and actively manages an equity investment fund for friends and family. But more than his passion for the ocean, Tim always seems to be excited to deliver an exceptional guest experience on-board MiM, with a big bright smile. |
William Soriano – Deckhand
William grew up in the Philippines and has worked all over the world including Taiwan where he won the most outstanding employee in 2004. In 2009, he then went on to work in the yachting industry as a deckhand in the Mediterranean. This will be William’s first season the Caribbean which he is looking forward to. He strives to ensure that every guest’s experience on board is one to remember. |
Laura Tudhope - Chief Stewardess – British
Laura is from the beautiful county of North Yorkshire and grew up exploring the beautiful countryside before expanding her adventures to the sea. After leaving the UK 6 years ago Laura has been working on yachts from 45m -78m. After only planning to work in the industry for a year the travel bug struck and Laura has spent the last 5 years developing and furthering her career whilst travelling to some of the most beautiful places in the world. Before starting her yachting career Laura worked as a freelance fashion and photographic make-up artist in London. Laura now channels her artistic flare into table decorations, flower arranging and creating luxurious, relaxing and adventurous holidays for all the guests on board M/Y MiM. Laura and the interior team strive to make your stay as magical and memorable as possible. |
Keiran Kelly – Engineer – Irish
Keiran was born in the UK. At the age of 18, he left for a life of travel which later lead him to the world of yachting. Keiran has settled in Belize where his dream of owning a yoga retreat is becoming a reality. Keiran ensures that the vessel is running as smooth as possible so that guests have a pleasant stay on-board. |
Caryn Clarke – 2nd Stewardess – South Africa
Caryn is from East London, South Africa. She spent a lot of time along the rural Wild Coast diving and fishing. In 2012 she gained a masters degree in Environmental Science and worked as an environmental consultant before joining the yachting industry as a Stewardess. Her passion for travel and the ocean is what tore her away from her previous career. Caryn is a qualified PADI Rescue Diver and enjoys scuba diving whenever the opportunity arises. Her other interests include being active in the gym or outdoors, cooking, painting and experiencing the cultures of where her travels may take her |
Robin – Deck/Stew – Canadian
Robin comes from Victoria, BC on the west coast of Canada. Having raised his 3 children, Robin is keen to follow his dream of traveling and exploring the world at large. Using his rich and varied background, Robin brings a smile and can do attitude with him in everything he does. His entrepreneurial spirit drives his hard work and dedication to excellence. Among his careers, Robin started a computer gaming company when he was 16 which was eventually sold to Disney, traded stocks, had a comic book company, was a stay at home Dad, became a golf professional and has had a graphic design company for the last 14 years as well as running hotels as a financial controller for the last 13. Robins hobbies include, golf, volleyball, water sports, and triathlons. As deckhand/steward, Robin will be sporting his smile on both the interior and exterior hoping to brighten your day. |
Alana Jenkins – Chef – Australian
I have been working on Super Yachts for the past 5 years and in varied establishments within the hospitality Industry. I am excited to join a busy Super Yacht as a Sole/Sous chef to continue my passion and to grow within this exciting Yachting Industry. My previous roles working as a Sous Chef on busy 65m+ charter yachts for the past 4 years has allowed me to develop my creativity and culinary skills that are essential in the yachting industry. I am a reliable and an ambitious individual full of enthusiasm and positivity. I pride myself on being adaptable, a team player and my willingness “to get the job done” is an asset. I have extensive experience in many cuisines and special dietary requirements. Emphasis on healthy, fresh, local meals with a desire to provide excellent meals for owners, guests and crew. |
